The National Bed Federation (NBF) has announced the eight categories for its highly anticipated Bed Industry Awards for 2025, honouring the brightest and best enterprises in the bed market.
These awards highlight the best in inspiration, design, and innovation among NBF member manufacturers, suppliers, and supporting retailers. Entry is free, and all submissions must be made online. For 2025, the awards include four categories for NBF member manufacturers and suppliers, as well as four categories for retailers that primarily stock NBF-approved member brands.
NBF Member Awards
Bed Manufacturer of the Year and Supplier of the Year return for bed manufacturer and supplier members. These awards recognise the outstanding achievements and innovations at a company level. The criteria have been updated for these awards, so entrants are encouraged to read them carefully.
Accompanying them is the Bed Product of the Year, which encompasses mattresses, headboards, frames and sofa beds. Component Product of the Year will be given to the supplier with the most innovative component product or machine used in manufacturing a finished product.
Retailer Awards
The NBF has revised the qualifying criteria and names for its independent retailer categories. Small NBF Retail Champion of the Year is open to retailers with one or two stores. Retailers with three to 20 stores are encouraged to enter Medium NBF Retail Champion of the Year. These awards are open to all retailers signed up to the NBF’s Retail Champions Scheme, which supports businesses whose product offer is from at least 50% NBF-approved member brands.
Businesses with more than 20 stores should enter the National Bed Retailer of the Year, and those where at least 80% of the sales are via the internet should enter the Online Bed Retailer of the Year.
NBF executive director Tristine Hargreaves encouraged the bed trade to enter the awards: “The NBF’s Bed Industry Awards are some of the most sought-after accolades in the UK and Ireland’s bed market. Winning an award really helps you to stand out from the competition and provides an opportunity to showcase your business and achievements.
Hargreaves added, “Each year we continue to be hugely impressed by the standard of the entries and are sure 2025 will be no different. So, start preparing your submissions and ensure you read the criteria and tips carefully; they’re designed to help you!”
The NBF will unveil a shortlist of all the retailer awards before the winners are announced at the Bed Show Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony on Tuesday, 23 September.
