A new industry report by Salience Search Marketing, it’s annual online UK lighting report, has revealed the industry’s leaders based on their online prominence and visibility.
The report analysed 11 crucial performance indicators for online toy stores to reveal the industry’s most successful names, including year-on-year visibility, search volume trends, and brand awareness. The full report is available to view here.
The Market Leaders
The industry’s market leaders are based on brands’ YOY organic traffic score to determine their online performance.

Leading the pack is Lights4fun, which has an impressive organic traffic score of 182,41, highlighting its well-optimised digital presence. Also earning a top spot in the lighting brand industry is Lighting Direct, with a high consumer interest of 155,951.
Other standout names include The Lighting Superstore, which ranks third with a solid traffic score of 132,611, and ValueLights, which ranks fourth with a score of 106,532. Closely following are Pooky (106,292) and Lights.co.uk (106,133), which have nearly identical scores. These brands reflect a strong online footprint in the competitive lighting retail space.
Additional brands with consistent traffic volumes include Dusk Lights, BHS, TLC Electrical Supplies and Pagazzi, with traffic scores between 63,000 and 89,000.
Overall, these lighting brands use a strong digital strategy and product appeal to drive user engagement online.

A’ score’ was calculated to determine each brand’s ranking by analysing its Trustpilot average star rating and the total number of reviews.

Delivering a strong customer experience is Lightbulbs Direct which ranks as the best-reviewed UK lighting brand in 2025. Its Truspilot score of 4.8 across 30,692 reviews makes it a reputable brand that consumers can trust.
Festive Lights with a great score of 4.6 across 35,763 reviews and Simple Lighting with a high score of 4.8 with 12,871 reviews are other top performers with a positive user experience.
Completing the top five are LED Hut and TLC Electric Supplies, with respective review scores of 4.7 and 4.9 across 15,848 and 10,010 reviews respectively – particularly standing out is TLC Electric Supplies, which achieves one of the highest average review scores of all.
Other top performing brands that deserve a mention for their customer experience are Auraglow (4.8 from 11,953 reviews), Industville (4.8 from 9,091), and Socket Store (4.9 from 5,289).
Finalising the top 10 are Dowsing and Reynolds and LED Bulbs, with both lighting brands earning a solid review score of 4.5 around 11,610 and 10,479 reviews, highlighting the impact of meaningful volumes of feedback.
The Most Prominent
The report identifies the most prominent brands within the toy store industry based on consumer familiarity with the brand through online searches or social media interactions. By merging branded search metrics with social media performance, the report determines which brands stand out across various channels, offering insights into their overall prominence in the market.

Leading brand awareness in 2025 is Govee, receiving the highest monthly brand searches of 201,000 and an owned social score of 654. Govee has its biggest social scene on Instagram where it has a following of 240,000, suggesting that its lighting aesthetic is working well for this brand.
Another brand showcasing strong social engagement is Phillips Hue with an owned social score of 766. Phillips Hue has a lower monthly search volume of 33,100, but it does have a huge audience on Facebook with 222,000 followers.
Ranking third is Lights with 60,500 searches each month paired with a social score of 228, highlighting a strong reputation in the UK. Rounding out the top five are Pooky and BHS each with a high monthly search volume of 22,200 and 18,100 showcasing good user engagement.
Other lighting brands that conclude the top ten include Lights4fun, Dowsing and Reynolds, Value Lights, Industville, and Festive Lights, each demonstrating moderate social scores and brand searches each month, making their presence in the UK lighting market shine.
The Biggest Online Growth
Central to this analysis is each brand’s online visibility ranking, which is determined by the organic search traffic their website attracts. This metric is vital for understanding the website’s overall growth or decline.

These five lighting brands have seen the most significant growth in online visibility, with Pagazzi securing the top spot. This brand has increased its traffic score by a staggering 81%, from 34,941 in 2024 to 63,389 in 2025, demonstrating efforts designed to boost online visibility.
Dusk Lighting also experienced an impressive surge, with a 48% increase in traffic, from 60,240 to 89,439, indicating a strong strategy to enhance its online presence. Closely following Dusk Lighting is Valuelights with a rise of 45% and Pooky Lighting increasing by 38% in online traffic. In fifth place is The Lighting Superstore, which has experienced a growth of 24% over the last twelve months.
The Biggest Decline in Online Visibility
The report also uncovers the brands facing the biggest drop in online visibility.

On the other end of the scale, Lampandlight UK has experienced a significant 60% drop over the past twelve months. For 2025, the brand’s traffic score now sits at 38,991, dropping from 98,669 in 2024.
The Wall Lighting Company and The Lighting Company experienced similar declines, 46% and 40%, respectively, while Lights.co.uk (29%) and Illumination.co.uk (26%) also face declines in organic visibility.
