Fashion and homeware retailer Next has seen plans for a new store in Norfolk approved.

The retailer aims to open a store on Forest Retail Park in Thetford, taking over a former Carpetright site.

Next submitted a planning application to Breckland Council to revamp the existing unit, including an internal mezzanine and shopfront windows as well as increasing the shop floor space available.

The plans have now been approved and work is expected to begin over the next few months with the store expected to open later this year.

The new store will add to Next’s other retail sites in Norfolk, which includes Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Dereham and King’s Lynn.
