Furniture retailer Sofa.com, part of the Frasers Group, has reported a decline in sales as turnover fell below £30m.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 April 2024, total sales fell 27.7% to £27.3m from £37.8m in 2023.
Pre-tax losses resulted at £190,000, down from its profit of £2.2m recorded in the previous year.
Stated within its report, Sofa.com said: “The company has performed as expected due to operational changes in the period. Levels of profitability have declined primarily as a result of these changes.
“The directors expect the company to perform well in the future and believe it is well placed for growth in the future as economic pressures soften.”
