Carpet supplier Furlong Flooring has reported a decline in overall turnover, as all four key divisions posted lower revenues.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 June 2024, total sales for Furlong Flooring Southern fell 9.8% to £29.2m from £32.4m in 2023. Pre-tax losses resulted at £512,000, down from a profit of £523,000 recorded the previous year.
As for Furlong Flooring Central, sales declined 12.9% to £24.1m from £27.7m, while pre-tax losses stood at £985,000 compared to a profit of £2,000.
Within the Welsh division, sales decreased 6.4% to £16m from £17.1m, while pre-tax losses resulted at £262,000, down from a profit of £206,000 year-on-year.
Meanwhile, the Northern Irish manufacturing division, Regency Carpet, posted a decline in sales by 17.6% to £29m from £35.2m. Pre-tax profit resulted at £219,000, up from £131,000 in 2023.
Combined, sales reached £98.3m, down 12.5% from £112.4m the previous year.
