Sales grow at office furniture maker

Sustainable focussed office furniture manufacturer Flokk has reported an increase in sales.

According to its latest filed accounts for the period ended 31 December 2023, total sales resulted at £20.2m, up from £10.1m, which was against a shorter trading period.

Pre-tax losses resulted at £264,000, down from its profit of £251,000.

The company said: “In the prior year financial statements for an 8-month period were prepared in order to ensure the Company’s period end was conterminous with that of its parent and ultimate parent company. The comparative figures are therefore not entirely comparable with the current period.

“Turnover has increased by £10.11m (99.6%) whilst gross profit percentage decreased by 7.8% to 31.8%. Which has resulted in a total gross profit increase of £2.42m to £6.44m (2022: £4.02m).”
