Independent department store chain Bradbeers has reported a growth in turnover as total store sales continued to rise.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 2 February 2025, total store sales rose 17.1% to £31.5m from £26.9m in 2024, marking another year of consecutive growth. Concession sales stood at £4m, up from £3.4m.
When excluding concession sales and VAT on own trade sales, total turnover resulted at £23.1m, up 17.2% from £19.7m.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £1m, up from its profit of £375,000 compared to the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said: “The Directors are very pleased with the trading results for the period bearing in mind the market conditions, inflationary pressures and the general economic outlook. The first full year of the Salisbury department store has been very encouraging.
“Having successfully opened the Salisbury store, the plans for 2025 are to focus on delivering growth from the Company’s trading locations. The Directors are always looking for opportunities to expand the business and will invest when there is a clear benefit to doing so.”
