Sales rise at motion furniture specialists as group structure simplifies

The group behind riser recliner and adjustable bed specialists Willowbrook and Ashley Anderson has reported a growth in turnover.

According to the latest filed accounts of Kingswood Mobility Group for the year ended 28 February 2024, total sales rose 15.5% to £41.6m from £36m in 2023.

Pre-tax losses resulted at £1.8m, down from a profit of £88,000 recorded in the previous year. EBITDA stood at £7.1m, up from £4.9m.

Stated within its report, the group said: “During the financial year a new 50,000sq ft production facility was secured enabling us to relocate our previous furniture manufacturing sites to a new single state of the art factory within Grazebrook Industrial Park. The facility was developed and fitted out to our bespoke requirements and the move took place successfully across July and August 2023.

“During the financial year a simplification of our company structure was undertaken to streamline processes and improve business efficiency. This involved the transfer of trade and assets of Erinstar Limited, Willowbrook Limited and Kingswood Corporation Limited to Ashley Anderson Limited allowing Ashley Anderson to focus on the manufacture and delivery of mobility furniture.”

Ashley Anderson generated total sales of £30.5m, up 107% from £14.7m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £6.6m, up from £1.9m.
