High-end designer furniture retailer The Conran Shop has announced the opening of its new flagship store in London.
Situated in Sloane Square, the company said that its Marylebone store will remain open with the Chelsea flagship an even bigger and better version.
The store was designed in a collaboration between Jenkins, Pentagram design consultancy and Fine Line Art consultancy, which curated artworks throughout the shop.
“Our new flagship store showcases a diverse collection of new items and contemporary artworks, including two pieces by the renowned British abstract painter, John Hoyland (1934 – 2011),” the company said. “His vibrant and expressive colour field paintings are a testament to his significant contributions to contemporary art in the United Kingdom. We invite you to come and explore these remarkable works.
“Our new flagship store lies just around the corner from the bustling boutiques and cafes of Pavilion Road and a stone’s throw from where Sir Terence once lived. Consisting of three floors across a beautiful Georgian townhouse, get ready to discover a whole new look for The Conran Shop. Our new home is filled with curated room sets showcasing our existing icons and brand new designs from our London based studio. All against a backdrop of one off murals and art pieces.”
