Wallcoverings and upholstery fabrics supplier Romo Fabrics has reported a growth in sales as turnover surpassed £60m.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2021, total sales rose 17.5% to £64.4m from £54.8m in 2020.
UK sales were up 30% to £25.5m from £19.6m, while EU sales slipped 1.5% to £19.6m from £19.9m. Sales outside the EU increased 26% to £19.2m from £15.2m.
Gross profit increased from £21.7m to £23.9m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £1.5m, down from £9m recorded the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said that current trading to date is exceeding those of 2021, with sales ‘extremely positive’.
