WIFN announce speakers for their London event

The Women in Furniture Network (WIFN) is returning to London for its Amplify Your Voice event on the 9th September at Olympia London from 4:30pm. 

With WIFN continuing to build a space for women across the furniture industry to connect and support one another, this event is another unmissable chance to network and learn. With an expert panel led by Clarion Retail’s Portfolio Director Zoë Bonser, hear from; Joanna Hauptman, Co-Founder of bespoke furniture company Hyde House, Chloe Bullock, Author and Founder of Materialise Interiors and Katie Marshall, Managing Director of Vidato Interiors UK and Director of Bluebird, Furniture Agents & Consultancy. 

These inspirational women will be sharing their personal journeys, revealing how they’ve used their voices to shape their careers and drive positive change. Whether you’re just starting out or you’re a seasoned professional, this session will equip you with the confidence and tools to find your voice and make a lasting impact.

After the panel, Cheryl Busby, People Consultant & Performance Coach, will be taking the network through a short workshop on personal branding – Why pay attention to your Personal Branding? From the first impressions, to forming relationships, personal branding is integral for anyone’s career. Cheryl will explore what personal branding is, why it matters and how to build yours – you won’t want to miss it!

Speaker Profiles:

Joanna Hauptman is the driving force behind Hyde House, where she has seamlessly married her passion for bespoke furniture design with her unwavering commitment to crafting captivating interiors that resonate with sophistication. Having started out in the vibrant world of publishing and fashion, Joanna’s journey has been a tapestry of influences that culminate in her distinctive design sensibility. Her early years in the fast-paced realm of fashion publishing armed her with an acute understanding of trends and an instinctive grasp of aesthetics. This invaluable experience set the stage for her seamless transition into the realm of interior design, where she has elevated the concept of luxury living.

Chloe Bullock, is the owner of award-winning interior design company, Materialise Interiors, designing with a focus on sustainability, health and cruelty free specifications. Prior to setting up her own company 16 years ago, she was part of The Body Shop team delivering ethical global store concepts and specifications. Her ongoing commitment to environmental awareness, sustainability using circular economy principles and cruelty-free specifications learnt at The Body Shop, has translated into her own interior design business as she was the first interior designer in the UK to be VEGANDESIGN.ORG CERTIFIED™. 

Katie Marshall has over 20 years experience in the furniture trade, starting in furniture retail management in the Yorkshire region and expanding skills to representing manufacturers to the trade. She then held a position for 5 years in a National UK Sales role with Yask manufacturing from Poland, which further developed on to include the US. From here Katie held tenure for 13 years with Stressless furniture handling the North East and Scotland including all independent retailers and the HSL multiple. She is now the Managing director of Vidato Interiors UK, a bespoke upholstery manufacturer in the Netherlands and also Director of Bluebird Agents and Consultancy handling a number of manufacturing agencies for the UK.

Cheryl Busby, set up her People Consultancy after 18 years as Clarion Events’ Global HR Director, she now coaches leaders, delivers leadership workshops and supports businesses with their People Agenda. Cheryl has always had a passion for supporting individuals, teams and businesses to thrive as she gently guides them to step out of their comfort zone to achieve exceptional results. Cheryl’s ‘superpower’ is connecting with people to build trust and connection that enables her to hold up a mirror to show and challenge what drives their success and what may be blocking professional and personal growth.
