Office furniture maker grows sales by more than £10m

Office furniture manufacturer Dams has reported another growth in sales as turnover jumped by more than £10m for second straight year.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2022, total sales rose 25.6% to £63.2m from £50.3m in 2021. This marked a consecutive year of strong sales, adding to its 25.4% uptick from £40.1m in 2020. Pre-tax profit resulted at £3.5m, down from £4.8m recorded the previous year.

UK sales grew 25.5% to £60.9m from £48.5m, while EU sales registered an increase of 31% to £2.1m from £1.6m. Sales outside the EU remained flat at £105,000.

Stated within its report, Dams said that it continues to trade strongly despite the ongoing supply chain challenges following Covid-19 and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, while also implementing significant investments into its infrastructure, including the building of a 60,000sqft extension to its warehouse, expanding its Charley Wood Road site to 185,000sqft.
