High-end French furniture group Roche Bobois has reported a ‘very good start to 2022’ with first quarter sales up 30% to €92.9m.
The group said that the momentum was very good for all the geographical areas, in particular the United States / Canada, which drove a large part of the growth for the quarter.
The UK posted revenue of €5.1m in the 1st quarter of 2022 compared to € 3.4m in the 1st quarter of 2021 (+49.6% at current exchange rates and +43.2% at constant exchange rates), an ‘excellent level in this zone’, the group said.
In 2021, activity in the area had been ‘significantly slowed down due to health measures’, reflecting the Covid-19 pandemic.
In its native France, Roche Bobois sales amounted to €28.2m compared to €23.6m, up by +19.5%.
