La-Z-Boy UK pledges to plant trees in return for honest customer reviews

Iconic recliner brand La-Z-Boy UK is asking customers to review its products online and in return, the company has pledged to plant trees.

La-Z-Boy UK has signed up to Feefo, the world’s largest verified reviews provider, which will allow potential customers to read online reviews of its products. And the platform’s new sustainability feature, Treefo, means that every time someone leaves feedback, a tree is planted.

With research suggesting 69% of consumers are interested in making more sustainable choices, La-Z-Boy UK was keen to take part in the Treefo initiative and offer something which would have a positive impact on the planet.

Tristan Pyke, La-Z-Boy UK’s Managing Director, said: “Joining Feefo will allow our customers to share their thoughts and feedback on our products, making it easier for us to understand what consumers want and make sure all our collections meet our extremely high standards. Having honest online reviews will help potential customers choose the right product for them and knowing there is a positive environmental impact is the icing on the cake.

“We’re proud to be part of the Treefo initiative and have committed to funding the planting of 50 new trees a month.”

Customers who have purchased a La-Z-Boy UK product and registered their product by joining the brand’s Comfort Club will receive an email from Feefo asking them to share their experience and opinion. Members of Comfort Club will also be the first to hear about new products and can enter exclusive competitions.

Feefo has partnered with Ecologi to source its tree-planting projects, which aim to restore landscapes.

Kerry Leighton-Bailey, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at Feefo, said: “Treefo builds on Feefo’s ethical journey and means we can finally support businesses to reach their sustainability goals. Businesses are collecting customer reviews anyway. Why not turn that into planet-loving action?”
