Third quarter sales down at floorcoverings group

Floorcoverings manufacturer Belysse, formerly known as Balta, has reported a decline in third quarter sales.

According to its latest trading update, total Q3 2024 sales fell 7.6% to €68.1m with organic revenues down by 7.1%.

Sales in Europe fell 13.4%, while revenues in the US also declined 3.3%.

Commenting on its performance, the group said: “The third quarter reflects the continued weak demand in Europe, while Bentley Mill’s project driven business has been more resilient with volumes only slightly below prior year.

“Adjusted consolidated group EBITDA for the quarter was organically stable, but slightly negatively impacted versus last year by FX, despite headwinds on volumes. Higher unitary margins generally compensated lower volumes. Leverage remained in line with the level of June 2024.”
