Danish homewares retailer plans for debut North East store

Danish homewares retailer Søstrene Grene has announced plans to open its first store in the North East of England.

Situated at Eldon Square in Newcastle, the new store is expected to open later this year and forms part of its ongoing expansion in the UK.

Other recent store openings over the past 12 months include York, London, Cheltenham, Kingston, High Wycombe, Bracknell, and Sheffield, as well as in Liverpool, Tunbridge Wells and Leamington Spa.

Furthermore, Søstrene Grene has recently opened a new store on Buchanan Street in Glasgow, marking the second city location with its other store located in St Enoch Centre, while also opening at the Bon Accord Shopping Centre in Aberdeen.

Søstrene Grene has over 285 stores worldwide specialising in Scandi-inspired designs in a wide variety of homewares, soft furnishings and furniture. The brand aims to open 100 stores in the UK by 2030 and reach 500 stores globally by 2027.
