Flooring distributor TradeChoice Carpet & Flooring has reported a growth in sales as turnover surpassed £110m.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2023, total sales rose 14.8% to £116.9m from £101.8m in 2022.
EBITDA stood at £1.9m, down from £2.9m, while pre-tax losses resulted at £0.7m, compared to its profit of £0.8m recorded in the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company, which is part of the Nestware Holdings group, said: “In 2023 as part of the business growth plans, the business invested in four new trading sites. The lease at our Camberley site was not renewed and replaced by a smaller trading site in Farnborough, along with additional distribution capacity in the area with the acquired space in Purfleet’s group site and the acquisition of a distribution site in St Albans (completed March 2024).
“This has given Tradechoice a more effective and efficient trading platform to service our Northeast growth, and in September 2023 acquired a site in Southampton to enhance market coverage in the South. To support the continued growth in the South of Wales region, Tradechoice Cardiff relocated to larger premises.”
The group added that its newly launched website, which went live in March 2023, generated £2.1m of sales and is expected to grow to £5m during 2024.
