Discount retailer Home Bargains has announced the opening of its new store in Darlington.

Situated in Faverdale, the new £3.5m ‘Darlington 3’ store officially opened on 10 February 2024 and has created 64 new jobs for the local area.

The store complements the existing Darlington shop and more than 600 outlets across the UK.

Commenting on the opening, the retailer said that it is “excited to open what is a fabulous store for the local community to enjoy”.

As part of the launch, Home Bargains is donating £2,000 to local charity Farplace Animal Rescue.
