The Irish division of Swedish furniture retailer IKEA has reported a growth in sales and profit.
According to its latest results to the end of August 2023, total sales in Ireland amounted to €252.4m, up 16.5% against the prior 12-month period.
Pre-tax profit resulted at €23.5m, up by 82%, with the business increasing its dividend payout from €3m to €11m to its Dutch parent entity.
During the period, IKEA Ireland Ltd opened plan and order points in Drogheda, Cork and Portlaoise, and has committed to expanding this further with more locations over the next two years.
