Department store retailer John Lewis has announced a new partnership with Timpson Group on repairs.

The trial is being implemented at five John Lewis stores in Cheadle, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Oxford and Welwyn over the next 16 weeks.

It will offer customers an opportunity to alter, repair or restore clothing and soft furnishings in an effort to help prolong the life of products.

John Lewis said that it will use the trial to understand the needs of customers and what services they require for repairs before potentially rolling it out further.
