Mattress brand continues rebuild following pre-pack sale

The new owner of the UK arm of mattress brand Dormeo has reported sales of almost £20m.

According to United T and C Limited’s latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2023, total sales registered £16.2m for the period, while losses amounted to £4.6m.

United T and C Limited acquired Dormeo UK in pre-pack deal for a total sum of £800,000 after the brand entered administration back in February 2023. (See related).

“The decision was made to honour all open orders at the point of purchase,” the company said in its report. “The effect of this was high costs of sales and delivery with no associated revenue in the first half of the year.

“After a turbulent start to the year, 2023 has been a period of rebuilding. Revenue in the second half was more than double the revenue earned in the first half. Relationships with both customers and suppliers had to be rebuilt which took time.”
