Furniture manufacturer The Senator Group has secured approval over plans to replace a warehouse at its Blackburn site.
According to a planning application submitted to Blackburn with Darwen Council, Senator plans to construct a new building on Whitebirk’s Premier Business Park in Croft Head Road.
The council approved the plans with 20 conditions despite an objection from a nearby resident concerned about late night lighting from the site.
The development will deliver an ancillary storage unit to serve Senator Engineering which currently operates from the site.
The new warehouse will replace an existing outbuilding and tank positioned at north-west corner of the site, while a new layout will increase the amount off-street parking spaces by 19 to 66 overall.
The approval adds to Senator’s other project in Lancashire, where it plans to add a new complex to its Huncoat Business Park site, off Newhouse Road in Huncoat. Hyndburn Council approved the plans earlier back in July 2024. Read more.
