Sales down 5% at carpet supplier

The owner of carpet manufacturer Wilton Carpets, Wylye Valley Holdings, has reported a decline in sales.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 August 2024, total sales fell 5% to £8m from £8.5m in 2023.

The company maintain profitability at £301,000, although this was down from £515,000 recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said that gross margin reduced slightly to 39.7% from 41.6%, while year-end net assets totalled £560,000, down from £704,000.
