Soft furnishings supplier returns to sales growth

Soft furnishings supplier Riva Home has reported a growth in sales but saw profit fall into the red.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 January 2024, total sales rose 17.6% to £23.3m from £19.8m in 2023.

Pre-tax losses resulted at £10,000, down from a profit of £120,000 recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, Riva said: “The group continued to invest for growth with the acquisition of Voyage Maison in June 23. As part of the acquisition exceptional costs of £234k were incurred.

“Voyage Maison is a premium brand that is widely recognised and offers a unique product proposition that appeals to a more affluent demographic which has helped Riva Home diversify and grow into a new space.

“The group continues to develop and invest in a multi-channel strategy and new categories.”
